Okay, so it's not the fact that someone is dissing YA or Children's Lit that makes me happy. That always kind of annoys me. I try to just think that the person doing it is just missing out on a good story, and isn't that part of what makes reading enjoyable? What I do like is reading blog posts by authors I like or admire explaining why they think someone is ridiculous for thinking such a thing.
Here is one such post. Kristin Cashore has a lot of interesting view points. I don't agree with all of them, but she has good things to say, whether I agree with them all or not. Link.
Anyway, just had to share my happiness in another person's viewpoint of something I find interesting and important.
